About Me
"Bringing purpose and meaning to real world problems through minimalist, functional design, utilizing 3D printing and prototyping."
My name is Filip Jurkovič, and I am an Industrial Design Engineering student based in The Hague, driven by a passion for 3D printing and designing practical, minimalist products that address meaningful, real-world problems.
My work focuses on minimalist, functional design supported by hands-on experimentation and testing, rapid prototyping, and extensive use of 3D printing. I work best by making. Iterating through physical prototypes allows me to understand form, function, and user interaction to a greater extent. This process allows me to refine and
improve concepts efficiently and develop thought through purposeful products, ready for manufacturing.
My goal is to blend simplicity and practicality with inspiration drawn from nature, ensuring that every feature has a clear function and purpose, and nothing is added without intent. I believe that minimal design is not about doing less, but doing exactly what is necessary,
and doing it well, to prove that good design does not need to be complicated.
During my studies, I have collaborated on design projects for clients such as Philips, Brendz GP, Human Comfort, and SMITH Service Design, gaining experience across both commercial and research-driven contexts.
My work has been featured at the Fontys booth at Dutch Design Week 2025, and I
achieved my Propaedeutic diploma Cum Laude (With Honors) from Fontys, reflecting on my creative ambition and professional discipline.
